Near Wendover, NV
Directions:
Along the northern side of I-80. It's in the Bonneville Salt
Flats, so unless you are blinded by the white salt, you should be
able to see this beauty for miles.

stop:
Several of the websites that
listed information about this stop indicated that stopping along
I-80 isn't allowed. Sure, it's not allowed *along* the highway,
but darnit, just drive into the salt flats. It's worth a stop. I
looooove the ball "half shells" that are arranged around the tree.
